MOUNTAIN VIEW, Calif. -- Teneros today released a new member of their plug-&-go™ high availability and disaster recovery appliance family for Microsoft® Exchange that supports 1,000-mailboxes and includes 400GB of high-performance data storage. The company now offers 250-, 500- and 1,000-mailbox versions of its popular continuity appliances.

Like all Teneros appliances, the 1000-mailbox appliance can be installed in less than 20 minutes using an intuitive Web-based interface. It requires no configuration changes to the Exchange server or environment, does not install intrusive software agents on the Exchange server, and assures continuous, fully functional Exchange operation and full email data access for end-users. The Teneros appliances are remotely monitored 24x7 by Teneros' network operations center ( NOC) and all maintenance, patches, upgrades, and updates to the appliances are managed via the NOC. By providing continuous, 99.99% to 99.999% end-user Exchange email uptime whenever the production Exchange server experiences either planned or unplanned downtime, corporations eliminate costly productivity losses and business interruptions.

"Email is the backbone of today's business communications. Our new high-performance offering is a logical addition to our appliance family supporting our mid-market customers' requirements," said Steve Lewis, chief executive officer of Teneros. "Last year we launched a 500-mailbox product to meet the needs of the growing mid-market, and the 1000-mailbox appliance the next step in our commitment to support the small-to-medium enterprise."

"Teneros' product claims seemed too good to be true, but zero email downtime is our mission," said Bob Sturgeon, vice president of operations for Bell Micro. "We bought a small Teneros application continuity appliance and tested it outside of our main data center. We were so pleased with the appliance's performance and reliability that we have purchased additional, larger appliances from Teneros to protect our main data center Exchange servers."
