PRESS RELEASE

(Superior, Colo. " January 12, 2009) " StillSecure', creator of secure network infrastructure software, today announced Strata Guard' v5.0, the industry's most cost-effective method for deploying multi-gigabit, multi-segment intrusion detection/prevention (IDS/IPS). With Strata Guard v5.0, customers benefit from the lowest cost per Gigabit per second (Gbps) price points in the industry. Multi-gigabit, multi-segment IDS/IPS software providing 2 Gbps is now available for $10,000, and 4 Gbps is available for $15,000. To celebrate this release, StillSecure is offering up to 50% off all Strata Guard purchases between now and March 31, 2009.

According to Gartner research, "The network intrusion prevention system market continues to mature and evolve at a rapid pace as the network IPS market for stand-alone appliances continues to grow, from more than $700 million in 2006 to nearly $1 billion in 2007." Moreover, "in 2006, there was a consistent average of $50,000 per gigabits per second (Gbps) of deep inspection. In 2007, there was considerable price variance. Enterprises should weight price as a factor in product selections." *1

New Multi-Gigabit Product Line Building on StillSecure's expertise with off-the-shelf, standard hardware, Strata Guard's new multi-gigabit, multi-segment capabilities leverage patent-pending technology called the StillSecure MG Accelerator. MG Accelerator harnesses the power of today's multi-core processors to enable off-the-shelf hardware to achieve multi-Gigabit speeds for IDS/IPS. Because no specialized hardware is needed (e.g. ASIC-based platforms using custom-designed processors), StillSecure is able to provide high speeds without the high cost.

Six commercial versions of Strata Guard are now available, ranging in throughput from 50 Megabits per second to 4 Gbps. Each version is available as software or as a preconfigured hardware appliance. Multi-Segment Support In addition, Strata Guard v5.0 features multi-segment support with up to four network segments per appliance. Managing multiple segments on one node simplifies administration, increases performance, decreases false positives, and maximizes the overall investment in IDS/IPS.

Depending on a company's network architecture, a single implementation can simultaneously monitor connections to the DMZ, public web servers, financial systems, and wireless and remote segments. Individual security policies can be tailored to each segment and customized to reflect traffic patterns. A single management console monitors all segments for centralized configuration, administration, and reporting activities.

"In an increasingly competitive market such as IDS/IPS, StillSecure continues to raise the bar with new advances in technology that provide high performance IDS/IPS without the high price tag," said Alan Shimel, Chief Strategy Officer at StillSecure. "Now anyone who has wanted multi-gigabit IDS/IPS but has been challenged by cost constraints has access to a fully-featured, multi-gigabit, multi-segment IDS/IPS at costs unheard of in this industry."

Pricing and Availability StillSecure Strata Guard v5.0 is available immediately from StillSecure or through any of its authorized resellers. From now until March 31, 2009, Strata Guard is available for purchase under special promotional pricing which includes up to 50% off software and appliance options.
