RICHARDSON, Texas -- Sipera Systems, the leader in comprehensive VoIP/UC security solutions, today announced that John Lochow has joined Sipera as president and chief executive officer (CEO). Lochow brings significant experience leading both large and small companies with technology solutions for enterprises and service providers. As Sipera continues to grow and expand its VoIP/UC security solutions, Lochow’s diverse background will give him a unique perspective that will enable him lead the company to continued success.

“With the growing awareness in the marketplace of the need for comprehensive VoIP/UC security, now is the time for Sipera to bring its VoIP security leadership to a new level. John is the person to help Sipera accelerate its momentum,” said Ben Scott, chairman of the board for Sipera Systems. “We are ecstatic to have John join our executive team.”

Most recently, Lochow was president and CEO of Syndesis Limited, where he took the company from about $6 million to $60 million in revenues by helping service providers create and provision competitive broadband networking solutions. Syndesis was recently acquired by Subex Azure, a company traded on the Indian Stock Exchange. Prior to Syndesis, Lochow held senior positions at AT&T, Bell Canada and Tech Data.

“Sipera is at an inflection point with the demand for comprehensive VoIP/UC security solutions expanding as enterprises and service providers seek to protect and control real-time unified communications,” said Lochow. “As these technologies go mainstream, it is exciting to be part of such a talented group of people that have created a company poised for great things.”
