PRESS RELEASE

SPARTANBURG, S.C., Sept. 17, 2012 /PRNewswire/ -- Integrated Biometrics (IB), a market leader in fingerprint biometric technologies, is pleased to announce that its partnership with Raptor Identification Systems (Raptor ID) has resulted in the creation of the world's smallest Appendix F (App F) certified fingerprint scanner, the Watson-Mini. Raptor ID was in need of a small, lightweight, durable, App F certified fingerprint scanner for their flagship product, the RaptorPad(TM). IB's market presence, patented LES fingerprint scanning technology and willingness to work directly with Raptor ID's engineering team made them the clear choice for new product development.

The RaptorPad(TM) is a fully capable handheld Biometrics enrollment tool, custom designed and built for operation in some of the harshest and most demanding environments. Due to the small form factor and rugged nature of the Raptorpad (TM), no existing fingerprint scanner met its demanding specifications.

Integrated Biometrics engineers took a hands on approach and worked directly with Raptor ID to develop the new Watson-Mini. The Watson-Mini is an ultra-low profile, lightweight and rugged two-finger roll scanner that utilizes IB's patented Light Emitting Sensor (LES) technology. Unlike optical fingerprint scanners, it works reliably in direct sunlight and is the world's first non-optical Appendix F certified biometric fingerprint reader.

"Raptor ID approached us with the significant challenge of developing a much smaller version of our popular Watson fingerprint scanner," said Steve Thies, CEO of Integrated Biometrics. "Our respective teams worked quite well together and the effort really paid off. The RaptorPad(TM) can now fulfill the mission it was designed for with the integration of the Watson-Mini."

The RaptorPad(TM), equipped with the Watson-Mini brings a new level of capability to personnel in the field. Featuring the best of today's commercially available biometric enrollment and communications technologies in a handheld form factor, the RaptorPad(TM) is at the forefront of identification technologies. The ruggedized Android-based tablet was designed from the ground up to be intuitive and easy to use for the operator while also maintaining status as the industry's most innovative and cost effective solution.

"Integrated Biometrics' track record at moving product through the certification process was a strong attractor for us. As a company with a rapid lifecycle product development approach, we jumped at the opportunity to partner with an established leader in the field that could keep pace," said Jeff Schott, Raptor ID's President and CFO.

"Their willingness to adapt their technology to our specific needs and work with us to develop an optimal solution made them an ideal choice for this and future collaborations."
