ATLANTA (February 17, 2009)—Purewire, Inc., a SaaS-based Secure Web Gateway vendor that protects business and social interactions on the Web, today announced its strategic partnership with RIM via the BlackBerry ISV Alliance Program. Purewire launched this unprecedented initiative in an effort to help organizations cost effectively secure and extend Web usage policies across their rapidly growing BlackBerry deployments. A recent survey from Osterman Research shows that 73 percent of companies have BlackBerry users and more than 15 percent of users regularly access the Web via mobile devices. The proliferation of these devices and the fact that many employees leverage their personal mobile devices for business spark heightened security concerns for enterprises.
