ATLANTA -- Lancope®, Inc., the provider of the StealthWatch™ System, the most widely used Network Behavior Analysis (NBA) and response solution, today announced that Oldcastle Architectural Products Group (APG) has deployed StealthWatch to monitor network activity across 215 locations. The StealthWatch System provides end-to-end network visibility that enables Oldcastle APG to identify and resolve network bottlenecks and security concerns with greater efficiency.

Previously, Oldcastle APG had no way to visualize who or what was causing network slowdowns and internal IT staff used multiple tools in attempts to troubleshoot incidents. With StealthWatch, Oldcastle APG gains a unified view of network and security operations. Now all regional network managers, helpdesk and network/security engineers at Oldcastle APG use StealthWatch to pinpoint the traffic and users associated with network and security issues and expedite problem resolution.

StealthWatch transforms raw NetFlow data from over 200 sites across Canada and the U.S. into valuable network and security intelligence. Alerting administrators anytime an interface in Oldcastle APG’s environment exceeds a predefined threshold, StealthWatch enables the IT staff to easily and quickly determine the root cause of network slowdowns. For example, StealthWatch helped identify streaming Internet radio as the cause of delays with the company’s enterprise resource planning (ERP) package. From a security standpoint, StealthWatch also helps Oldcastle APG quickly discover and diffuse virus infections.
