BOSTON -- Sophos, a world leader in IT security and control, today announced that Kilpatrick Stockton, one of the Largest US Law Firms*, has selected Sophos Endpoint Security & Control to protect its desktops against viruses, Trojans, worms, spyware, adware, potentially unwanted applications (PUAs) and hackers. Additionally, the firm included Sophos Premium Support Service to its license to incorporate a Service Level Agreement in addition to the around-the-clock unlimited support, 365 days a year.

After re-evaluating its endpoint security, Sophos Endpoint Security & Control was selected as the best fit for the firm based on the intuitive console, small and uncomplicated updates, integrated spyware and adware protection and the ability to control applications. The firm also realized the advantage of having a software solution that pulls down version updates automatically rather than pushing updates as other vendor solutions traditionally update. Sophos’s updating process eliminates the need for patches or manual client version updates, which ensures that all clients are always running on the most up-to-date version.

Kilpatrick Stockton purchased Sophos through Platinum Channel Partner, Software House International (SHI) headquartered in Somerset, New Jersey.

“Selecting Sophos Endpoint Security & Control just made sense as we were able to meet all of our needs and requirements with one desktop security solution,” said Pramesh Naik, enterprise support manager at Kilpatrick Stockton. “Prior to Sophos, we were using a separate anti-adware solution along with a security solution to stop viruses and spyware. This approach worked, but by consolidating into one solution, we improved the efficiency of the workstation and manageability for the administrators, therefore lowering our TCO. As part of the Sophos deployment, we used the Sophos Competitor Removal Tool, which made the transition painless.”
