First Advantage Corporation deploys PGP encryption solution
PALO ALTO, Calif. -- PGP Corporation, a global leader in enterprise data protection, today announced that First Advantage Corporation (NASDAQ: FADV), a leading global provider of risk mitigation and business solutions, has deployed a PGP® solution that will enable the company and its more than 4,700 employees to comprehensively protect its corporate and customer information while complying with stringent business and regulatory requirements. The solution comprises PGP® Whole Disk Encryption, PGP® NetShare, PGP® Desktop Email, PGP Universal™ Gateway Email, and PGP Universal™ Server.
First Advantage offers a broad range of business services, a number of which involve the collection and distribution of sensitive data. First Advantage initiated a strategy to protect the data it handles with encryption to provide customer assurance that its data is securely managed as well as comply with regulatory requirements related to data management such as Gramm-Leach-Bliley, the Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act (HIPAA), Sarbanes-Oxley, and state legislation.
“Encryption addresses data at rest, data in motion and anything in between. When we kicked off our encryption initiative, we wanted to take a holistic approach and look at all the different components from a business perspective,” says Kam Golpariani, director of security operations at First Advantage. “In selecting PGP Corporation, we’re able to incorporate network file encryption, secure e-mail and laptop encryption—and centrally manage everything through granular policies set on PGP Universal Server. Working with PGP® Professional Services, our implementation has been smooth and on schedule.”
