HERNDON, Va. and WALTHAM, Mass. -- Cybertrust®, the global information security specialist, and BrassRing LLC, a global leader in talent management solutions, today announced that BrassRing has obtained Cybertrust Security Management Program (SMP) Perimeter Certification for the fourth consecutive year while continuing to maintain Application Certification for BrassRing Enterprise, the company's best-of-breed Web-based talent management offering. By meeting Cybertrust’s stringent SMP standards, BrassRing has demonstrated the highest level of commitment to proactively managing its security posture, measuring and mitigating risk and validating its critical internal controls.

Through the Cybertrust SMP Perimeter Certification, BrassRing has enhanced security for its systems, networks and physical environment. Specifically, the certification provides BrassRing with heightened security around its external perimeter and internal infrastructure. This enables BrassRing to more effectively prioritize and identify security risks, and then proactively manage those risks. The company’s SMP Application Certification drills down further into the application level, providing a detailed security analysis of BrassRing’s Enterprise, Agency Manager, Talent Gateway and Workbench applications, the supporting infrastructure and the software development lifecycle. The Application Certification provides BrassRing with the ability to build and maintain more secure applications.

“Cybertrust’s SMP Certification enables us to provide our customers with peace of mind against even the most sophisticated level of attack,” said Dan Dennis, director, information security and risk management, BrassRing. “Cybertrust's certifications offer a detailed assessment of our current security posture, as well as proactively pinpoint potential vulnerabilities in our product. This enables us to strengthen controls and optimize information protection for our global customer base.”

“By working with Cybertrust to strengthen its security posture, as well as the application security of its Enterprise suite, BrassRing is communicating to its customers that the company is making information security a top corporate priority,” said Malcolm Palmer, director, product management, Cybertrust. “As the threat landscape evolves, organizations in all industries must take proactive action to enhance security. We are committed to helping our customers develop and implement the security strategy that best meets their business needs and enables them to leverage existing people, processes and technologies.”
