Deep Nines announced that it has acquired Captus Networks
DALLAS -- Deep Nines Inc., a network security solutions provider, today announced that it has acquired Captus Networks. Captus Networks develops inline, policy-based intrusion prevention systems for securing and managing mission-critical IP networks.
DeepNines has acquired the intellectual property, assets and customers associated with Captus Networks including its product line and management console. Current Captus customers will be offered a conversion package that will allow them to upgrade to the new, integrated solution.
“Captus was an attractive target for us for two reasons. First, they made significant investments in R&D, which is evidenced by their extensive patent portfolio,” said Dan Jackson, president and COO of DeepNines. “Second, they have Fortune 100 customers in both the enterprise and ISP markets, which are two areas where we plan to increase our focus in the upcoming year. With the integration of Captus’ technology, we will be able to offer an even more compelling solution than before to those markets.”
