PRESS RELEASE

Chicago, Ill., October 12, 2011 – Risk I/O™ today announced its partnership with Qualys, the leading provider of Software-as-a-Service (SaaS) IT security risk and compliance management solutions. Under the partnership, the companies will integrate Risk I/O with QualysGuard, enabling users to easily detect and manage vulnerabilities, while aggregating threat metrics, prioritization and fixes for effective security risk mitigation.

QualysGuard, using an innovative security as a service platform, automates the lifecycle of network auditing and vulnerability management across the enterprise, including network discovery and mapping, asset prioritization, and vulnerability assessment reporting. Risk I/O, powered by HoneyApps, is an online SaaS solution that synchronizes bug tracking and remediation applications, giving customers the information they need to prioritize and remediate vulnerabilities. Qualys and Risk I/O will collaborate to create a simple out-of-the-box connector that pulls vulnerability scan data directly from QualysGuard, and uses Risk I/O to aggregate, correlate and prioritize vulnerabilities for the most effective remediation of possible security threats.

“Customers are always looking for ways to improve performance of their vulnerability management programs, so we are looking forward to working with Risk I/O. With 50 of the Fortune 100 companies having deployed Qualys’ security as a service platform and the market movement toward cloud computing, we welcome Risk I/O to use the power of SaaS to leverage our platform to further model, to simplify and to automate key security and compliance processes for customers,” said Philippe Courtot, chairman and CEO for Qualys. “This integration is another step forward for better vulnerability context and prioritization, enhancing vulnerability remediation performance, helping customers efficiently eliminate any possible security threats to minimize security risk across the enterprise.”

Risk I/O strives to ensure that the automated vulnerability scanning solutions from web application, host, network, and database vulnerability assessment tools that it connects into align as closely as possible with solutions its audience has in place. Through a centralized, easy-to-use application, Risk I/O makes it easy to monitor and manage online data by quickly detecting and resolving vulnerabilities.

“We are very excited to be a part of the Qualys partner program and to leverage the power of the QualysGuard platform,” said Ed Bellis, CEO of HoneyApps. “Our Risk I/O integration with the Qualys suite of solutions will dramatically improve our mutual customers ability to fix security issues in a timely manner.”
