Farsight Security to Introduce DNSDB Community Edition at the RSA Conference

SAN MATEO, Calif., Feb. 20, 2019 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) -- Farsight Security,
Inc., a leading cybersecurity provider of DNS intelligence solutions,
today announced DNSDB® Community Edition to provide threat hunters,
incident responders and other security professionals with actionable
insights on IP addresses, domain names and other Internet infrastructure
identifiers critical to an investigation. This entry-level version of
the company’s flagship product, DNSDB®, is free and will be introduced
at the upcoming RSA® Conference from March 4-8, 2019 in San Francisco.

“The Internet relies heavily on the DNS, and criminals are not exempt.
Now, organizations will have free access to data about fraudulent
activity related to emerging IP addresses or domain names,” said Dr.
Paul Vixie, Chairman, Cofounder and CEO for Farsight Security, Inc.
“Farsight is committed to making the Internet a safer place for online
transactions for all users. We believe that arming organizations with
access to this information is an important first step toward this
vision.”

In its effort to help make the Internet more secure, Farsight Security
has always offered grants for DNSDB® and other DNS Intelligence
solutions to vetted researchers, law enforcement, and other non-profits.
DNSDB® Community Edition now offers everyone an opportunity to discover
the high value historical passive data can provide for their digital
investigations.

Farsight DNSDB® is the world’s largest historical passive DNS database,
with more than 100 billion DNS records. Starting with a single
suspicious domain or IP address, security professionals can query DNSDB®
Community Edition to find related DNS digital artifacts, from name
servers to other IP addresses or domain names, to map an adversary’s
malicious infrastructure.

DNSDB® Community Edition offers a subset of the full enterprise version
of DNSDB®. For more details on the new product offering, visit here. For
easy use, DNSDB® Community Edition users can query DNSDB® using DNSDB®
Scout, the graphical interface for DNSDB®, which is available now for
both Google Chrome Extension™ and Mozilla Firefox.

Pricing & Availability
Farsight DNSDB® Community Edition is free and will be available on March
29th, 2019. For more information, or for a demo of this product, please
