EventTracker Announces 7.6 with Smart Search

EventTracker Enterprise 7.6 new features simplify the extraction of operational and security intelligence from machine data.

COLUMBIA, MD, September 15, 2014 – EventTracker, a leading provider of comprehensive SIEM solutions, announced today the general availability of the newest version of its flagship EventTracker SIEM solution, EventTracker Enterprise 7.6, that provides organizations with complete visibility into their IT infrastructure’s security and compliance.

EventTracker Enterprise 7.6 comes complete with several new and enhanced features including Smart Search, designed to simplify the extraction of operational and security intelligence from machine data. Applications include identifying data patterns, isolating problems, and diagnosing potential security and operational issues. Smart Search incorporates intelligence directly into EventTracker thereby greatly simplifying and speeding up log review and investigation of security and operational problems.

“Extracting intelligence from machine data is a becoming an ever-increasing requirement to support the Internet of Things in tomorrow's business,” said 451 Research senior analyst Javvad Malik. “More and more data is becoming available in the modern enterprise from devices and having the ability to extract intelligence from it is necessary for the enterprise to be competitive in the future."

In response to MSP partners who leverage the multi-tenant features of EventTracker, behavior views, dashboards and log traffic information are now visible across tenants from a central console. This enhances the ability of SOC/NOC operators to more easily monitor multiple remote installations for potential security problems.

Additional features in EventTracker Enterprise 7.6 include LogWatch, a feature that provides an auto updated real-time view of data corresponding to any selection criteria. This allows operators to pin a window on any particular behavior of interest. EventTracker Enterprise 7.6 also includes new Knowledge Packs, improved dashboard features, close integration with Amazon AWS Cloudtrail and Simple Email Services and an easier-than-ever installation process.

EventTracker Enterprise 7.6 offers an organization a high level view of its infrastructure, providing its IT department with the ability to drill down to the most granular level and view the details of data center events. EventTracker enables IT teams to uphold compliance and security postures while maintaining operational uptime. EventTracker offers a high-level view, yet provides organizations with the ability to drill down to the most granular data level and find the information they need.

“EventTracker Enterprise 7.6’s updates, in combination with its established feature set, continue to provide the best SIEM solution for small to mid-sized organizations,” said Jagat Shah, CTO of EventTracker. “EventTracker Enterprise 7.6 is a comprehensive security strategy that provides customers with a watchful eye on the security of their data center, now with real time alerts and reporting.  We’re looking forward to bringing the next level of EventTracker Enterprise to the marketplace.”
