Security Spending Growth Outpaces IT Spending Growth
According to analysts at Gartner, worldwide spending growth will jump by 8.7% this year, up to $124 billion. This pace of growth will outstrip general IT spending increases; the analyst firm says overall IT spending will only see a 3.2% bump this year. The top drivers of security spending, Gartner says, will be building detection and response capabilities, privacy regulations like GDPR, and the need to address digital business risks.
