Cenzic And CORE Security Partner In Enterprise Web App Security

Integrated offering will provide customers with an automated, end-to-end vulnerability management platform

BOSTON & CAMPBELL, Calif.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Cenzic Inc., the leading provider of web application security intelligence to reduce security risks, announced today a joint solution with CORE Security®, a leading provider of predictive security intelligence solutions. The integrated offering from the two companies will provide customers with an automated, end-to-end vulnerability management platform that aggregates data from diverse sources to add predictive security intelligence-thereby helping enterprises identify critical exposures and reveal business risks. As a result, enterprises will now be able to detect how actual attackers can traverse multiple vulnerabilities through layers of infrastructure to access the most valuable business assets and obtain the intelligence they need to prioritize vulnerabilities for remediation.

Cenzic Enterprise is a software solution that assesses the security of web and cloud applications and supports security risk management throughout the software development lifecycle. Since Cenzic Enterprise can be used in all parts of the software development lifecycle, and most importantly in production, applications are protected against new threats even after being deployed. After application vulnerabilities are identified, Cenzic Enterprise provides risk mitigation recommendations to protect data and meet compliance requirements.

CORE Insight workflow integrated with Cenzic scans data and correlates the results with network scan results to model attacks and reveal the risks threatening the most critical business assets. The combined offering also enables enterprises to validate whether critical assets can be breached and the potential risks to a business without the concern of "false positives" reports. This helps to focus resources on remediating the vulnerabilities that pose the greatest risk to their environment.

CORE Insight and Cenzic Enterprise unify and streamline web application vulnerability management initiatives enterprise-wide. Some of the key benefits to the customers include:

Receive meaningful, actionable information to validate vulnerability data, pinpoint exposures to critical assets and eliminate false positives.

Correlate business risk vulnerabilities to reveal specific assets and resources exposed to breaches and report risk.

Trace attack paths across multiple vectors to simulate how attackers could leverage web application vulnerabilities to breach network devices and compromise critical business assets.

Increase operational efficiency and effectiveness by focusing resources on addressing the most critical risks; and increasing the scope and frequency of security assessments.

Demonstrate continuous improvement by monitoring and measuring the impact of remediation efforts and results over time.

"Today, security teams are saddled with overwhelming amounts of disparate security data, tools that don't communicate, and alerts that sound only after the damage has been done," said Jay Schiavo, director, product management at CORE Security. "Organizations that want to stay ahead must go on the offensive and predict and preempt threats before it's too late. Our integration with Cenzic enables customers to identify the vulnerabilities that pose the greatest risk to the organization and proactively address them. The result is a clear view of potential risks, and increased security and compliance."

"Organizations often find that they have very little visibility into their enterprise Web applications," said Bala Venkat, chief marketing officer of Cenzic. "The combination of Cenzic Enterprise, a leading continuous real-time vulnerability detection solution, and CORE Security's Insight, a leading predictive security intelligence solution, offer customers a clear view of security events in their networks--with deep and reliable results. All while eliminating the need for resource-hungry security tools."
