In his role as vice president of product strategy and operations, Mark helps major enterprises navigate the evolving technology landscape to address key business and security issues. Mark joined Symantec via the Blue Coat acquisition, where he led product strategy & go-to-market across the Blue Coat cloud security services, secure web gateway, advanced threat protection, incident response, web application protection, encrypted traffic management ant network performance optimization. Prior to Blue Coat, Mark's security & networking career includes experience at Packeteer, FORE Systems/Marconi, and Inviscid Networks. Mark began his career as an investment analyst at private equity group M&I Capital. There, he took on a "second hat" as IT architect and manager, transitioning the group to networked and Internet connected systems. Mark holds bachelor's degrees in both history and business administration from the University of Wisconsin-Madison.
