PRESS RELEASE

MINNEAPOLIS, Minn.—(Dec. 17, 2014)—Entrust Datacard Corporation today announced that a new website security service is now included with every publicly-trusted Entrust® SSL digital certificate, allowing customers to protect against daily online attacks and threats – which ultimately creates a more safe and secure online experience for websites and their visitors.

Partnering with SiteLock LLC, a global leader in website security, Entrust SSL digital certificates now offer levels of SiteLock website security services.  This new bundled package provides daily malware scans that can alert and send an instant notification when “malicious software” is detected, and will then help remove malware quickly from web applications to prevent any harm or damage to organizations.

“Security is our expertise and protecting our customers is our number one priority,” said David Rockvam, vice president marketing, software, for Entrust Datacard. “With malware attacks and data breaches continuously increasing, organizations are frequently concerned about the next threat that may hit them.  We partnered with SiteLock to help alleviate this worry and give our customers peace of mind.”

Entrust Datacard has best-in-class technical support and offers the Entrust Certificate Management Service to help customers manage multiple SSL certificates.  The application features a self-service tool that helps streamline the procurement and administration of SSL certificates, which is also where Entrust Datacard customers can go to activate the SiteLock security service. The SiteLock security service is free to all customers who have existing Entrust SSL certificates; or create new Entrust SSL certificates.

The company’s comprehensive portfolio of SSL digital certificates remain a cornerstone to a layered, identity-based security approach that focuses on customers. To date, Entrust Datacard has a SSL customer renewal rate of 98 percent – which showcases the service, competitive pricing and overall ease-of-use of the SSL products and services from a trusted security expert.

“Doing business is all about trust – whether it’s our customers trusting in us to have the most comprehensive and secure solution, or them doing business online with their consumers,” added Rockvam. “Adding in this other layer of website security to our SSL certificates provides the most trusted and secure choice for website protection and SSL encryption so that our customers can focus their resources on growing their business.”

“Entrust Datacard understands that security is crucial to the success of an organization’s web presence and we are pleased to be part of their process of enhancing their solutions with another security layer,” said Tom Serani, executive vice president of business development from SiteLock.  “The strategic relationship that we have with Entrust Datacard solidifies both of our commitment to ensure that the security vulnerabilities for organizations are minimized and protecting their brands against online threats is maximized.”
